This piece is a tribute to the beauty and worthiness of ordinary people and their quiet contributions to human existence. The textures in the collage are created using images and mosquito netting, a material that became part of this work after helping my dad install it on our patio. For me, the netting symbolizes the layers and textures of life that we, as ordinary individuals, navigate daily. The close quarters of the bus, where the characters faces ramain unseen, reflect the intimate yet anonymous connection we share with strangers in our everyday lives. These moments of quiet reflection and relaxation with other (wheter acknowledged or not) bind us as part of each other’s daily existence. There’s something mysterious yet beautiful about how our lives intersect in these shared spaces.
